Studia Mazowieckie is a semiannual academic journal in the humanities and social sciences, published by the Ignacy Mościcki University of Applied Sciences in Ciechanów. The journal features research articles and drafts, sources and materials, and reviews in the following disciplines: history, cultural and religious studies, socio-economic geography and spatial management, political science and public administration, and sociology.
Studia Mazowieckie was established in 1991. Its first publisher was the Polish Authors' Association, Ciechanów Branch, with the Ciechanów Scientific Society as its strategic partner. The journal also collaborated with the National Centre for the Documentation of Regional Cultural Societies. From 2005 to 2019, it was published by the Aleksander Gieysztor Academy of Humanities (with the State Higher Vocational School in Ciechanów becoming a co-publisher in late 2013). During this period, the journal was issued quarterly.
Since 2019, Studia Mazowieckie has been published independently by the State Higher Vocational School in Ciechanów, which became the Ignacy Mościcki University of Applied Sciences in Ciechanów on October 1, 2023. Since then, the journal has been issued semiannually.
Articles are accepted for publication in both Polish and English. The Editorial Board, Scientific Council, and team of reviewers ensure the academic and editorial quality of the journal. Submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review (requiring two positive reviews) and are subject to editorial and linguistic editing.
The journal follows the Diamond Open Access model - articles are available online free of charge to both authors and readers.
The print version is the primary (reference) version of the journal.
