It is a report that was being written on an ongoing basis, a record of events seen from the inside and refl ections recorded during the fi rst and subsequent days of martial law. In the diary, the author described what was happening in the city of Pułtusk, in waiting lines, at the workplace. He presented current reports from listening to Western stations – Radio London, Voice of America at various times, from 4 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m. to midnight, about strikes in Poland and various protests around the world against the imposed martial law. He followed and jotted down live TV and radio news. He compared information from national sources with news from Western stations and wrote his own comments on the spot.
