Abstract

The article contains an overview of selected research (mainly foreign)
on the use of violence against the elderly during the pandemic caused
by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In the conducted analysis, attention was paid to
risk factors related to the pandemic that contribute to the occurrence of
domestic violence, presenting the main forms of violence against elderly people
and presenting the statements of seniors experiencing violence during the
pandemic. The study ended with a summary indicating that the scale of violence
against the elderly is a serious social problem that requires thorough
analysis and diagnosis.
